Many people wonder how at 48 years of age I have been hospitalized approximately Two Hundred (200) times and endured almost Twenty (20) Major Surgeries such that I successfully "market" myself as a "Professional Hospital Patient." Since I am soon launching an iTunes Podcast called, "Confessions of a Professional Hospital Patient," I thought the time was right to take the opportunity to specifically explain how 25+ YEARS of Crohn's Disease has taught me a great deal about Living, Loving and Laughing with all sorts of Chronic Illnesses. While this particular 7-to-8 minute "Episode" breaks down Crohn's Disease as simplistically as possible and explains how the Disease has shaped my Life, a version of this Video will serve as the "Introduction" to the aforementioned Podcast where I will dedicate my efforts at using my experience to help others COPE with their Chronic Illness. I must thank three (3) people who have been instrumental in helping me make this "technological jump" so that I can start interviewing Interesting and Entertaining Guests including Noteworthy Healthcare-involved Politicians, Doctors, Nurses, Health Care Executives, Patients, Fundraisers, Caretakers and even the occasional Celebrity who will share his or her thoughts on Health Care, Reform, Chronic Illness and Overall Health-Related matters. Accordingly, THANK YOU Rob Stevens, Lisa Davis and Nadine de Jong.
