Yes - this Specialty DOES EXIST. These Doctors are Compassionate Professionals who Treat the "Person" (and not JUST the "Patient") and through various Pain Management drugs, procedures and philosophies they help you improve your Quality of Life - despite having a difficult Chronic Illness. The Video also explains why many Primary/Treating Physicians such as Gastroenterologists do not like to prescribe the types of drugs typically administered by Pain Management Specialists. At first, it may seem a bit cruel when you consider the Pain associated with some Crohn's Disease Flare-ups but Closely monitoring a Chronically Ill Patient's "Dependency" vs. "Addiction" with those kinds of drugs is too much to ask of even the most compassionate Gastroenterologist.
