With iodine sensitivity, you can experience fever, excessive sweating or nausea. If you are injected with iodine and suffer extreme symptoms, you would be diagnosed with an iodine allergy. If you see a rash on your skin after applying iodine, you will more than likely have an allergy to the iodine.

If you eat fish and experience an upset stomach, nausea or vomiting, it could be the oils from the fish causing your reaction.
