Attacking AIDS in India

HIV/ AIDS are too attacked at all levels in India to over come disaster. Prevention as well as control of this dreadful disease is being taken in a full fledged condition. Millions of dollars are flowing in to attack this menace. Bill Gates leads them all in contributing $100million grant. There is a prediction that 30millions will be attacked by AIDS in India. Govt. of India has raised to the fullest extent to save the innocent and poverty stricken Indians from this AIDS. The drugs available are expensive to overcome this problem and the TamilNadu State AIDS Control Society feels that one has to spend Rs3000/month for medicines alone. Hence crores of foreign funds have to be spent for drug apart from propaganda services to prevent HIV/ AIDS.

Should I Breastfeed My Baby?

Many expectant Moms ask themselves whether or not they should breastfeed their baby. The vast majority of medical professionals will give them a resounding yes when asked this question, at least for most mothers. For the majority of new mothers, breastfeeding is highly recommended. But it is not recommended for all mothers. Mothers who are HIV positive or who have AIDS should not breastfeed their baby because the HIV virus can be passed to the baby through breast milk. Breastfeeding is also not recommended for mothers undergoing cancer treatment; as well as mothers who have untreated Hepatitis B and mothers who have active tuberculosis that hasn't been under treatment for at least two weeks.

All government regulators or diplomat who are in high risk categories for contracting AIDS as well as senior aides in our nations capital who routinely travel abroad must be tested if they have any drug history or are homosexual. Other wise our aides and diplomats will be exporting AIDS. How can we as a nation put forth restrictions from certain countries or travelers from certain lands who may have contracted diseases such as Bird Flu, Small Pox or other pathogen if we are sending our own government workers abroad who could infect citizens of other nations with AIDS.
